This book is a great one to add to your collection! Who Will See Their Shadows This Year? written by Jerry Pallotta and David Biedrzycki is a great book to get your students writing!
My class read this book and talked about the different animals and what happened when they saw their own shadow. We then decided that we wanted to create our own class book of different animals and what could happen if they saw their shadow.
I used the example of “If a worm saw his shadow, it would start raining dirt!”
My class did a great job with this and each made their own page of the book.
